Areas we cover
We work across Wandsworth and the streets around it. These are the areas we get to most.
Earlsfield
SW18. Southern half of SW18 along Garratt Lane, dense Victorian terraces around a busy Waterloo-line station.
Southfields
SW18. District line station; the Edwardian 'Grid' streets are let out to visitors during the Wimbledon fortnight.
Putney
SW15. Immediately west, over the borough's Thames frontage at Wandsworth Bridge and Putney Bridge.
Battersea
SW11. East along York Road towards Clapham Junction, the borough's main rail interchange.
Tooting
SW17. South down Garratt Lane; Wandsworth's own streets fall in the Tooting parliamentary constituency.
Wandsworth Common
SW18. The common sits at the top of East Hill, with the Royal Victoria Patriotic Building on its edge, now flats and studios.
What we get called out for

Single ovens
One cavity, one door. Racks and runners out, glass split where it comes apart.

Double ovens
Two cavities and usually two doors. The grill side is nearly always the worse of the two.

Range cookers
Wider cavities, heavier doors, and a hob that is part of the same unit.

Hobs and hoods
Burner caps and pan supports soaked, mesh filters degreased in the tank.
Prices
One price per appliance, agreed on the phone and not changed on the doorstep. A single oven is £77. Add the hob or the extractor to the same visit and you only pay for the extras, because the cleaner is already there.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Single oven | £77 |
| Double oven | £110 |
| Range cooker, 90cm | £114 |
| AGA, two oven | £143 |
| Hob, from | £23 |
| Extractor | £28 |
A single oven with the hob and extractor added comes to £128 (a gas hob is a few pounds more). Two appliances in one visit is the commonest booking we take. Minimum charge is £67, which only bites on a hob or extractor on its own.
Working in Wandsworth
The core is Victorian brick terrace: the Tonsleys behind the Town Hall, the streets off Old York Road, and long terraced runs down Garratt Lane towards Earlsfield, with a very high proportion cut into one and two-bedroom conversion flats. Along the river and the Wandle sit the new-build layer, Riverside Quarter and Ram Quarter, where flats are compact, appliances are integrated and buildings run on concierge access. Postwar council blocks fill in behind Garratt Lane and around Buckhold Road.
Wandsworth's controlled parking zones are a patchwork with wildly different hours: zone B runs 9am to 8pm seven days a week, while zone A3 is only 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Residents buy scratchcard visitor permits by the day or by the 5 or 6 day week, so confirm the zone and its hours before promising a doorstep arrival time.
Thames Water hard water plus period bathrooms means oven door glass, hob rings and extractor filters here carry scale as well as carbonised grease; a dip-tank service beats on-site scrubbing on the double ovens common in the terrace kitchens.
Riverside Quarter and Ram Quarter operate concierge sign-in, booked goods lifts and no kerbside loading, so dip-tank kit has to be trolleyed in rather than parked at the door.
Water here is hard, which shows up as scale inside steam ovens and on the trays people rinse and put back wet. It comes off, it just takes longer than the grease does.
